Introduction

About The Jedi Order

Greetings, student of the Force.

If you are one to dream of becoming a Jedi and study the ways of the Force, and have a willingness to go through the

difficulties that come with doing so, then this is the place for you.  Our number one focus here and top priority is

to help our students grow with an ever present guidance from the Force.

The history of the Jedi Order is one that spans back over a thousand generations. At one point, the ancient traditions of the

Jedi were almost lost during the time of the Jedi Civl War many years ago. However, through the Force they were revived by the knowledge and strength of Jedi Master Meetra Surik.

Over a century ago, Master Surik set out to re-establish The Jedi Order. To maintain the ancient traditions of the Jedi once again, Master Surik set forth to put into practice the search for potential students with a strong connection to the Force. As it was then, it is today; the path of the Jedi involves the deepest commitment, the most serious mind, and it is expected that one hold dear these traditions if you are to follow this path.

New and potential Jedi are discovered and taken into the Order as infants, and are severed from past family ties. If chosen as a Padawan you will eventually be assigned to a Mentor that will guide your intensive training in the ways of the Jedi. These are the most crucial years in a Jedi’s life. Training is to be given much focus and attention as it is imperative to grow individually so that we may grow as an Order.

If the Force is with you on your path, then you will be given your trials to potentially become a Jedi Knight.

At the stage of Jedi Knight you will have the opportunity to take on a padawan learner of your own and continue this great tradition as a guide

and mentor.

The Council oversees everyone’s journey and provides guidance along the way. You will be observed constantly and you

will be expected to maintain a high devotion to the Jedi Code set forth by the Council and the Jedi Order.

Know that to become a Jedi, the path before you is arduous. Not all will be able to complete the trials that lie ahead.

Know also that the path to the dark side is ever present, and the temptations are many.

Be mindful of your task at hand, and let the light guide you in all your decisions.

Those who are successful will enter a brand new world within themselves.

May the Force be with you.

A Heavy RolePlay Enviroment

What makes The Jedi Academy is the RolePlay. This is quite obvious since we are a RolePlaying community.

We focus on the daily life of a Jedi, and by doing so we do have Daily RolePlay. Furthermore we hold weekly classes and expect our members to attend to them. More about this can be found on the forums, where it states the day and time, as well as who has attended on the previous one.

We are a Heavy Role Playing guild, this is what we are graded as on The Progenitor and we intend to keep it that way.

Whenever you are online and in the Temple or at Tython, you are In Character, that means no Out of Character actions are to be taken at current location.

We advice you to form a group with whoever is online so it is easier to find eachother on the Map.

Out of Character - The Guild

The Guild Story

The Begining of the Journey

It all began long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away.

A vision. A dream. A Goal.

The Guild Name

How it came to be

The Jedi Academy. That is what it was to be called. It was on a cold December Eve, when the decision about creating The Jedi Academy was made. However it was not until almost two years later, November the first, that we launched our website.

The Jedi Academy is a very simple name that has a lot of meanings. The primary one being that The Jedi Academy is an academy where Jedi are to be trained, Masters are to teach and classes are to be held.

The name was created by the individual known as Soo Laa.

Rules

By joining the Jedi Academy Stronghold (also referred to as the Jedi Academy of Yavin 4), you are submitting to these

rules and resulting consequences of breaking said rules.

Please take time to read them, if possible even before joining our server for the first time.

Information about The Jedi Academy

The Jedi Academy Guild is role playing based. When in the Jedi Temple, role playing is mandatory unless otherwise specified by an Administrator and/or Councilor.

The Jedi Academy’s role play setting is that of the Star Wars universe.

The Jedi Academy Era is set in correspondence with the SW:TOR Era, which would be 3632 years before the Battle of Yavin. All references to the Star Wars universe that are not ambiguously canon are considered real in The Jedi Academy’s setting. Due to story arcs that are still in development in the Star Wars universe that are chronologically after and before The Jedi Academy’s era, we are constantly having to update and retconning references and personal opinions regarding Star Wars canon material.

More information about The Jedi Academy, the Temple and the Era is available in the Temple section as well as the Archives section.

Please take time to familiarize yourself with The Jedi Academy in general as soon as possible.
