Biography

Ilyani Evettia was a Zeltron Jedi Knight and Temple Guard who served under Nagikonas Tar at the Yavin IV Academy. Unlike many of her fellow guards, Ilyani was known for her compassionate nature and deep connection to the emotions of others—traits amplified by her Zeltron heritage. Despite the stoic discipline expected of a Temple Guard, she retained a quiet warmth that made her both a fierce protector and a trusted confidant among the Jedi.

Ilyani's skill with the double-bladed lightsaber was formidable, and she was often seen patrolling the temple grounds, ensuring the Academy remained a place of peace. Though she adhered to her duties with precision, there was an undeniable melancholy about her, a quiet burden she carried in the Force. Some believed she had foreseen the Academy’s eventual fall, though she never spoke of it openly.

Her death remains one of the great mysteries of Yavin IV. Unlike her comrades who fell in battle during the Massassi attack, Ilyani perished before the conflict even began, succumbing to a sudden and unexplained illness. Some speculated that it was a rare affliction, one that even Jedi healing techniques could not cure. Others believed her deep empathy for those around her had taken a toll, that she had absorbed too much of the temple’s growing unease and darkness. A few even whispered that she had felt the approaching storm in the Force so intensely that it had overwhelmed her spirit before the battle could even reach her.

When the temple fell, her mask and armor were never recovered. Only her lightsaber remained, found resting against the roots of an ancient tree near the temple’s meditation chambers. To this day, those who remember her speak of her unwavering dedication, her quiet sorrow, and the mystery of her final moments.
