The Lightsaber That Grows
One of the most fascinating artifacts tied to the Laa family is the Living Saber, a unique lightsaber hilt constructed by Aresh Laa during his exile on Felucia.
The hilt is crafted from bioluminescent bark and the tendrils of an ancient Felucian tree, giving it an organic, vine-like appearance that shifts and grows slightly over time.
The blade it produces shines with a vibrant green hue, and the crystal embedded inside—rumored to have been purified from a Sith relic—resonates with a rare harmonious energy, making the saber hum softly in the presence of living beings. The hilt’s organic nature reflects the Laa philosophy: a Jedi’s weapon must grow and adapt just as the Jedi themselves must.
Passed from generation to generation, the Living Saber is only entrusted to those in the family who demonstrate mastery not just in combat, but in the wisdom of restraint and renewal.
