Description

Jayde and Ereald Aguda were renowned Mirialan Jedi sisters whose lives were defined by contrast yet deeply intertwined in purpose.

Both trained from a young age in the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV, the sisters possessed an inseparable bond but followed distinct paths.

While they served on the Jedi Council at Yavin IV for a brief time during an era of reconstruction and renewal, their differing philosophies and talents shaped their legacies in unique ways.

Biography

Ereald Aguda – The Duelist Master

Ereald Aguda, known for her imposing presence, was a master of lightsaber combat.

In a break from traditional Mirialan aesthetics, Ereald chose to shave her head, believing that physical distraction, including hair, could hinder her precision as a duelist. This appearance, along with her stern demeanor, gave her an intimidating aura both on and off the battlefield.

Her skill with the blade earned her the reputation as one of the sharpest duelists of her generation, mastering Forms II and V with elegance and brutality. Ereald was not only a brilliant instructor of lightsaber combat but also known for pushing her students beyond their limits. She often told them, “A blade should cut through fear before it cuts through an opponent.”

Although fierce, Erealds’s commitment to justice was unwavering. During her years on the Council, she often advocated for swift intervention in galactic conflicts, believing that action was the path to peace. Yet, she carried a lingering restlessness, always searching for challenges to sharpen her skills—an internal struggle she masked beneath her cool exterior.

Jayde Aguda – The Spiritual Sage

In contrast to Erealds’s martial prowess, Jayde Aguda embraced a more contemplative path, focusing on the mysteries of the Force and the Jedi Code. Jayde kept her hair long and adorned with subtle Mirialan beadwork, honoring her heritage and expressing her meditative spirit.

As a devoted Jedi Consular, she specialized in healing and diplomacy, often mediating disputes both within the Order and between factions in the galaxy.

Jayde's deep connection with the Living Force led her to develop rare abilities, such as Psychomentry and Flow-walking. She would spend hours in the forests of Yavin IV, meditating among ancient trees, claiming they whispered secrets of the Force to those who listened.

While she lacked Erealds’s skill with a lightsaber, Jayde’s spiritual insight was profound. She often reminded her sister that strength without clarity could become a burden—a sentiment that sometimes put the two at odds but kept them balanced as siblings.

On the Council, Jayde argued for restraint, believing that the Jedi should guide from a distance rather than engage directly in every conflict. Though soft-spoken, her presence was deeply respected. Many young Jedi sought her counsel, and Jayde’s patience made her an invaluable mentor.

Shared Legacy and Council Service

Although their philosophies differed, Jayde and Ereald were united in their commitment to the Jedi Order. They briefly served on the Council at the Yavin IV Academy during a pivotal period. While Ereald focused on fortifying the temple’s defenses and training new generations of Jedi Guardians, Jayde sought to nurture diplomacy and ensure the temple remained a sanctuary of peace and wisdom.

Despite their differences, the sisters often worked together on missions. One notable assignment involved retrieving a lost Jedi artifact from the dangerous pirate haven on Rishi, where Ereald protected them from various gangsters while Jayde negotiated with local pirates. Their mutual trust and complementary skills ensured they always succeeded where others might have failed.

Fading from the Council

Both sisters left the Council quietly after a few years of service, retreating into different forms of Jedi work.

Ereald returned to teaching advanced lightsaber combat, finding solace in training new Guardians. Jayde, on the other hand, focused on meditation and deeper studies into the ancient Force traditions, hoping to uncover forgotten knowledge that could help guide future Jedi.

Although they drifted in their later years, Jayde and Ereald maintained their bond, understanding that while their paths diverged, they were always two parts of the same whole. Their influence on the next generation of Jedi was undeniable, with many students remembering them as symbols of balance—one representing the body, the other the spirit.

Legacy of the Aguda Sisters

The Aguda sisters embodied the duality of the Jedi Order—one focused on action and combat, the other on contemplation and wisdom.

Their brief tenure on the Yavin IV Council left an enduring impact on the Academy, showing that unity through difference was a source of strength.

Though the sisters' names were eventually overshadowed by more prominent figures in the Order, their story remained a cherished lesson for those seeking balance in their own lives. As Jedi Masters and siblings, Jayde and Ereald Aguda stood as a reminder that the Force flows in many ways, and that harmony can be found even in difference.
